Nederland has a rich tradition of local artists, music almost every night and festivals throughout the year.
Frozen Dead Guy Days

Event Description: Frozen Dead Guy Days is a quirky festival that has put Nederland on the map, and brings visitors from all over the world here 365 days a year. The festival is made up of events and contests with the theme of frozen/ice/blue/winter to loosely celebrate the discovery of Bredo Morstel’s cryonic state of being in Nederland in 1994. The 9th annual Frozen Dead Guy Days will take place in 2010 the weekend of March 5-7.
High Peak Arts Festival
Date: June 26, 2010 - June 27, 2010
The Festival features a juried art show, live music by area musicians and a children's art area. Also includes Live Music all Weekend, and Fantasitc Food by Nederland restaurants.
4th of July Fireworks
The Nederland Fireworks is an annual tradition. Situated along the shore of Barker Resevior people come from miles around to watch the spectacular show over the water. But the celebration really starts at noon with the Parade. After the fireworks you can find more music throughout town.
Miner's Days
Date: July 24, 2010 - July 25, 2010
Event Description: Miners' Days is an annual event in Nederland, offering competitions in skills of the old mining days, with fierce contests of skill and strength in Spike Driving, Bow Sawing, Mucking, Single and Double Jack, and Individual and Team Jack Leg. During the displays of human strength, vendors will be selling food, and crafts. Special childrens' activities make this an event for all ages. Throughout the weekend, the Mining Museum will be open for education, fun, and excitement.
